Boric Acid is a commonly used reagent in molecular biology for the preparation of buffers such as Tris Borate EDTA and has applications in capillary and gel electrophoresis. Solubility
Soluble in glycerol, ether, alcohol, methanol, liquid ammonia, acetone (slightly), water (6.35 g/100 cc) at 30°C, water (27.6 g/100 cc) at 100°C, water (50 g/L) at 21°C, and water (1 g / 18 ml cold water).
Notes
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store away from strong oxidizing agents.
