Boron Nitride rod is used as a container for most molten metals like aluminum, iron, steel, silicon, tin germanium and copper due to its properties like corrosion resistance, electrical resistance and the fact that it can withstand temperatures of about 20000. It is widely utilized in evaporator boats, nozzles for nonferrous metals, electric insulators in vacuum system, induction heating coil supports, crucibles and radar components and antenna windows and insulators for high temperature furnace.
