Applications
Ciclosporin A induces apoptosis and inhibits angiogenesis induced by VEGF.Cyclosporin A is used as dermatologic drug to treat rheumatoid arthritis and prevent skin disorders. It acts as an immunosuppressive agent, which suppresses the immune function. It finds application as an anti-asthmatic drug to treat asthma. It also suppresses the replication of hepatitis C virus genome in cultured hepatocytes.
