Applications

Ammonium bromide is often used as an intermediate source of bromide ion in laboratory processes and pharmaceutical preparations. It is most commonly used as an additive in the preparation of photographic films, fireproofing products and corrosion inhibitors. Ammonium bromide is widely utilized in the manufacture of photographic chemicals and emulsions. It is also used in pharmaceutical preparations. It finds application in fireproofing of wood and lithography.
