Applications

Sodium cyclopentadienide is used as a reagent for the preparation of metallocenes. It is used to prepare Cp-cobaltacycles from diphenylphosphinoalkynes and CoCl(PPh3)3. It is a useful reagent for the preparation of metallocenes and cyclopentadienyl metal complexes.

Notes

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. It is sensitive to air and moisture. Store under inert gas.Other References :
