Applications
1-Octadecanol has been used as surfactant for the functionalization of carbon nanotubes. It is employed as emulsion stabilizer for creams and lotions, quality modifier of lipsticks, additive for ointment base and cream conditioners for smooth touch to skin for cosmetic uses. It is auxiliary for emulsifiers.
