Applications
Hexokinase is used to catalyzes the phosphorylation of D-hexose sugars at the C6 position utilizing, ATP as a phosphate source. Used to determine glucose, fructose, mannose and ATP.
Notes
Minimum 140 units/mg protein. One unit converts 1 micromole of D-glucose to glucose-6-phosphate per min at 25 degrees C and pH 7.5 in the presence of ATP
